International Courier Parcels (ICP)
Door-to-door courier delivery for parcels, samples, gifts, and small-business shipments from South Africa to 248 destination countries. ICP covers anything that isn't flat paperwork — if it has a shape, a value, or a commercial purpose, it goes via ICP.
Service at a glance
- Weight — 0.5 kg up to 23 kg billable, charged in 0.5 kg increments rounded up.
- Volumetric weight — enter length, width, and height when getting a quote and the rate engine automatically uses the greater of actual or volumetric weight. For unusually large or irregular items, contact us before booking.
- Destinations — 248 countries.
- Transit time — typically 3 to 7 working days door-to-door, plus destination customs clearance.
- Pickup — collected from any South African address, in a time window you book.
- Tracking — live waybill tracking from collection through customs to final delivery.
- Customs documentation — we prepare the commercial invoice, Harmonised System (HS) code declaration, and value declaration. You supply the description of goods and value; we handle the paperwork. Destination duties and taxes are payable by the recipient on a Delivered Duty Unpaid (DDU) basis — see our Terms & Conditions, Section 5 for the full customs process.
- Insurance — optional declared-value cover available at booking, priced by content value. Our standard liability cap is detailed in T&Cs Section 8; insurance provides cover above that.
What goes by ICP
- Product samples to overseas customers or distributors.
- E-commerce fulfilment for small South African online stores shipping abroad.
- Gifts to family and friends abroad.
- Spare parts a supplier needs urgently.
- Personal effects in small quantities.
- Curio and small-volume artisan exports.
What can't go by ICP
Standard international courier prohibitions apply: no dangerous goods (flammables, lithium batteries in bulk, aerosols, ammunition), no live animals, no perishable foodstuffs unless specifically arranged, no cash, no precious metals or stones above carrier limits, no items prohibited by destination-country import law. See T&Cs Section 3 for the full prohibited-items list. Some destinations have additional restrictions — when in doubt, contact us before booking.
How it's priced
ICP pricing depends on destination country and billable weight (the greater of actual weight or volumetric weight, in 0.5 kg increments rounded up). Optional insurance is priced on declared value. South African VAT does not apply — international services are zero-rated. (Destination duties, where applicable, are charged separately by the destination customs authority.) For documents specifically, use ICD
If your shipment is paperwork only and fits flat in a flyer up to 2 kg, ICD is materially cheaper because it clears customs as documents rather than goods.
